Bagasse Compost

Sep 24, 2021

Compost plays an important role in urban gardening. It can not only reduce the environmental pollution caused by discarded waste and the production of methane and carbon dioxide, but also produce fertilizer for gardening to make the plants grown by oneself healthier and less diseased.

How long does this process take?

How long does it take for bagasse to be completely biodegraded in compost. Bagasse or sugarcane is completely compostable. Under suitable climate, temperature, and humidity conditions, bagasse can be converted into compost in about two to three months at the fastest, and it can last as long as six months a year. This needs to be determined based on the materials you add, as well as the local climate and other factors.
